The paper presents the results of studies on bryophyte flora of the Reberce forest reserve located in the Przemyśl foothills. Thirty-three species of liverworts, 70 species and two varieties of mosses were found. Terrestrial (66 species) and epixylic (58) bryophytes formed the largest ecological groups in the reserve. Twenty-four protected species were also recorded, eight endangered bryophytes and...
Seeds of Pyrus calleryana were sampled from 11 stations located in Poznań green areas. Three of them represented cultivar ‘Capital’, whereas the remaining eight represented cultivar ‘Chanticleer’. The viability of seeds was qualified by means of tetrazolium test. The results of staining test showed that viability of Callery pear seeds was high and ranged from 90 to 100%.

The paper presents the results of a biometrical study on the leaves of vegetative and generative shoots of Morus alba. Mature leaves were collected from the green areas of Poznań (Poland) city. Leaves from vegetative shoots were collected from 34 sites. Leaves from generative shoots were collected from specimens with blackish purple or purple fruit (13 trees) and with pale yellow to creamy fruit (21...
The vascular flora in the “Łąki w Komborni” Natura 2000 site comprises 219 species representing 44 families and 147 genera. Species from the families Asteraceae, Poaceae, Lamiaceae, Fabaceae, Rosaceae, Polygonaceae, Cyperaceae, Apiaceae, and Ranunculaceae were found to dominate. A geographical and historical analysis of species confirmed the clear dominance of apophytes (84%) over anthropophytes (16%)...
This work presents a list of localities for the following species: Anomodon attenuatus, A. viticulosus, Dicranum viride, Gymnomitrion alpinum, Hedwigia ciliata, Homalia trichomanoides, Lophoziopsis longidens, Obtusifolium obtusum, Odontoschisma elongatum, Orthodicranum tauricum, Porella platyphylla, and Syntrichia papillosa.
Phenological observations at the Botanical Garden of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań were conducted on Syringa komarowii, S. meyeri, S. microphylla, S. oblata, S. reticulata, S. tomentella and S. wolfii. These observations showed the longest foliation phase in the case of S. oblata and S. meyeri, while the longest flowering phase was recorded in S. reticulata, S. microphylla and S. wolfii...
The paper presents in the first time the results of a micromorphological study on stamens of Sansevieria species. Flowers of 15 species obtained from herbarium specimens deposited at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, the Botanical Garden Berlin-Dahlem and the Botanical Garden in Poznań were studied. Observations were conducted under a light and a scanning electron microscope. The study revealed significant...
During the survey of Łempis Nature Reserve (Augustów Forest, NE Poland) 353 species of vascular plants were recorded, including 32 considered threatened with extinction in Poland (7 species from the Polish “red data book” and 32 species from the Polish “red list”). Among them there were 41 species protected under the Polish law, including 19 strictly protected species and four species listed in the...
Paper presents the current flora of park-palace complex in Dobrzyca. The vascular flora consists of 182 species belonging to 63 families. Native species (53%) dominated over antropophytes (20%) and cultivated species (27%). Interesting plants occurring in the analysed area include: Aegopodium podagraria ‘Variegatum’, Cardamine hirsuta, Cicerbita macrophylla, Gagea lutea, Gagea minima, Geranium molle...
Buxbaumia viridis is a rare, epixylous moss species with boreal range of occurrence. It prefers native, coniferous, spruce-fir forests. Historically the species was recorded several in the Sudetes, but now only two locations are known in this mountain range. In 2017 five unknown B. viridis populations were found in Góry Sowie Landscape Park in the vicinity of Bielawa, in the Bardzkie Mountains near...
In 2011–2012, the vascular flora of all the eight park-like old cemeteries in Poznań was studied. They are former Protestant cemeteries, transformed into parks after the World War 2. Each of them was investigated in both spring and summer. In total, 334 species of vascular plants were found there, including 62 in the tree layer, 91 in the shrub layer, and 181 in the herb layer. Their vascular flora...
This thesis presents the phenomenon of succession of trees on the shaft acoustic that separates housing estate in Przeźmierowo from the road number 92. All species have been inventoried woody, set their expansiveness and rated adaptation to existing environmental conditions. After previously conducted field studies during which the basic measurements were performed using dendrology and rectangular...
This work presents a list of localities for the following species: Anastrophyllum michauxii, Campylopus flexuosus, C. pyriformis, Diplophyllum obtusifolium, Fuscocephaloziopsis catenulata, Orthodicranum tauricum, Porella cordaeana and Ricciocarpos natans.
This study presents the variability in morphological features (length, width, shape and volume) of fruits (schizocarps) of Apium repens (Jacq.) Lag. Fruits were collected from plants occurring both in natural conditions and in cultivation under optimal and uniform conditions. It was found that populations of A. repens from the Wielkopolska Province differ significantly in fruit size. Mericarps of...
